Racer X Canada Tested: First Look at 2009 Kawasaki Models

We just received these images of the 2009 KX450F and KX250F and boy are they trick! Both models receive new bodywork and a long list of modifications for '09.

2009 KX450F

Team Monster Energy Cernic's Kawasaki's Dusty Klatt, riding a KX450F, is a heavy title favourite for the MX1 class and is currently in second overall after three rounds. We're pretty sure James Stewart has won a moto or two this year in the AMA series as well. Along with the cosmetic changes, the 2009 KX450F boasts electronic fuel injection, a lighter, slimmer chassis, revised swingarm, new rear shock with 50mm piston, wider footpegs and other improvements. The KX450F and KX250F are also available in ebony with Monster Energy graphics for '09. Stay tuned for full specifications.

2009 KX250F

Leading Edge Kawasaki's KX250F riders Teddy Maier, Nick Evennou and Brock Hoyer have had an up and down season so far this year in the MX2 class but let's not forget that Maier and Evennou finished 1-2 overall at the Ste-Julie opener and they are consistently two of the fastest riders on the track. Similar to the 450F, the KX250F features new bodywork, and a number of major changes including a new head, cylinder, piston and crankcases, a lighter, slimmer chassis, a low-friction coated fork and other modifications. Stay tuned for full specifications.
