George Loewen (767) leads the Plus 40 class into the first corner. Andrew Davenport (200) eventually worked his way into the lead and took off for his second win, but Loewen stayed strong and held on for third behind Mark Boot (153).

Alberta boys' Parker Hoppe (148) and Jared Petruska (149) had a good battle going in the second MX2 Junior moto. Petruska leads the MX2 class with two wins and sits second in GP with 5-1 scores. Hoppe has been steady in both classes, finishing second in all four motos.

Raymond's Riley Rodeback (cool name, eh?) is obviously familiar with the ultra-rough Temple Hill track, winning both MX1 Junior motos and a moto in GP Junior.

Along with motocross racing this week, some riders are also taking in the endurocross national. RXC's Danny Brault tested out the course on Thursday and made it a whole four-feet before tipping over. Big surprise there.

Lethbridge Yamaha's Luke Firth is leading GP Pro/Am with 2-1 finishes. (Chuck Mesley has gone 1-2.) Firth also has some serious skills on the endurocross course! Could he be the next Guy Giroux? Actually, I don't think anyone could replicate "Little Guy."

Gotta stay cool!

We knew Temple Hill was full of sh!t winds, but sh!t hawks too? I think Bubbles would be a little nervous in Raymond.

The James Moran (997)/ Ryan Millar (501) battle continues. Millar was the man today winning the MX2 and MX1 motos. He now leads both classes over Moran (3-1), and Chris Mathe (6-3). Unfortunately, we didn't get the official results from the GP Intermediate moto (it was seven o'clock and we had to get something to eat) but it was either Spencer Knowles or Millar as they crossed the finish line together.

Eric Nye's KTM Canada mechanic, Shawn Porter, is in Raymond helping out wee little Cole Varty in the 65cc and Supermini classes. Varty has gone 2-2 in the 65cc class behind Tron Cathcart who's perfect with 1-1 scores.

Sh!t winds, sh!t hawks and now the sh!t storms are coming!

Lethbridge Suzuki's Dustin Hayes took a header in the whoop section (well, I guess the whole track is a whoop section, really) and was left with bruises all over his face. Ouch! Hayes is riding well, though, and sits fourth in GP Pro/Am and Youth.

Team Faith's Josh Snider calls Alberta home after working for a year on the oil rigs. Snider sits fifth in GP Pro/Am with 9-4 scores. (His ninth comes from a mean first corner crash on Thursday.)

The local kids, Luke Firth (98) and George De Graaf Jr., take a lot of pride in leading or beating Chuck Mesley. In the second Pro moto today, Firth was able to hold on for the win as Mesley worked his way through the pack to finish second ahead of De Graaf.

BC's Rachel Springman now leads the Ladies class after winning the second moto today. Missy Hackett was running second, but crashed and moved back to fourth. We're not sure, but our guess is that her collarbone is still a little tender.
