The Big Eastern Dance: Day Two

By Danny Brault
I know, this report's coming a little late, but better late than never, right? Jay Moore, Kyle Carruthers and I treated ourselves to some Eastside Mario's last night, and then got caught up in some intense bench racing with Kenny Clark, Ryan Gauld, Jaywal Racing, House Party, Tracey Grey, Pete Raymer, and a few others around the campfire. It was a good time, though, and I was in bed before midnight so I would be well rested for my Plus 25 moto at 8:20 AM.

Here are a few pics of the action from Day Two of the EANMC at Sand Del Lee....

Danny Riverin (109) leads Dylan Kaelin (324) through the Red Bull arch in MX1 Intermediate. Kaelin made his way into the lead soon after and started checking out until he stalled it in a corner. After kicking and kicking, Kaelin finally fired up his CRF450 and worked his way back up to third behind Brandon Phinney. The two then locked into a tight battle until the checkers, with Phinney holding on for second.

Cole Varty (260) and Westen Wrozyna (78) have to be contenders for the Best Battle of the Week award. These two have diced back and forth in every 65cc moto, but mistakes by Varty have left him with 2-4 scores, while Wrozyna is perfect heading into Day Three.

Wright Side Up Racing is keeping it on all four wheels this week.

The 85cc 12-16 class blasts off the starting line.

Jason Benny continues to impress on his KX125. Benny put on a charge in the second Schoolboy moto yesterday and nearly caught Richard Grey for the win. It's not going to be easy for Benny to beat Grey, as the Orange Motorsports KTM rider has been flawless in every moto so far.

Must be a Danny Brault fan.

Pink Palace member mx_cale is representin'.

Bradley Dool (111) hunts down Maxime Knitel (291) in Schoolboy.

Eric Jeffery (33) looks for some inspiration from his mechanic. I just checked the results on mx101.ca, and it looks like Jeffery is your MX2 Junior champion!

Elite Performance KTM's Zack Zager is 1-1 so far in MX1 Junior and is second behind Jeffery in GP with a 1-2.

No matter what he says, Ryan "Newf" Lockhart is still a rockstar.

Ryan Gauld's podium footware.

Everything was looking polished and professional at SDL, until Justin Moore set up "Garbage Land." Actually, the Ultimate Toyz set-up was pretty cool, stocked with tons of quality moto goodies, and it even had air conditioning!

Sean Labrie (505) gets the jump in only his second ever motocross race.

Okay, time to get back to the house party. See you at the races!
