Though the riders may not be a big fan of the track surface, the view from the top of the track is breathtaking. From the track you can see the city of Nanaimo, the Pacific Ocean and all the way to Mt. Baker in Washington State. |

The hard packed Nanaimo surface definately favors local knowledge. Though he hasn't raced a national since last years Nanaimo round, Campbell River's Andrew Belin is always a threat at the Wastelands. He was 14th quickest in MX1 on his new Suzuki. |

Jeremy Medaglia's never been to Nanaimo before but it didn't stop him from throwing down the third quickest laptime in MX2. |
Team Faith's Josh Snider is double classing it this weekend. |

Blackfoot Yamaha's Blair Morgan has been coming to Nanaimo since 1994. In those early years he was battling with riders like "Too Trick" Al Dyck who would later become his mechanic. Blair showed he's still competitive after 14 years with the 6th quickest lap time in MX1. |

Though Dusty Klatt may not have had the start to the season he originally envisioned he can take solace in the fact that he's won 7 of the last 10 motos he's raced at Nanaimo. Klatt topped the charts in MX1 with a 1.47.460. |

BC's own Kris Foster was tapped with the helmet cam duties today. |

Colton Facciotti doesn't have to worry about suffering the same fate he did last year here when he suffered a flat tire while leading the moto. The entire Blackfoot team are running Mousse inserts this weekend to deal with the rocky conditions. Facciotti was third quickest in MX1. |

Snowcross racer Steve Taylor(fourth at Winter-X this year) is racing a KTM 450 this weekend. |

Blackfoot's Aron Harvey topped the charts in MX2. Is this the weekend the Nevada native gets his first win? |
