We weren't quite sure what to expect when the 2008 schedule was released and a new round was schedule for Edmonton's Castrol Raceway. Though the track didn't exist a until a few weeks ago, everyone has been working hard and the all new track is in great shape. It should be a great weekend of racing! Here's a few shots from Saturday's practice.

The facilities at Castrol Raceway are top notch. The pits are completely grass and well layed out. |

Despite this layover in the early laps of practice, Marc-Antoine Genereux was second quickest in MX2 with a 1:56.335. |

Last weekends winner, Aron Harvey was on it again today. Harvey was quickest in MX2 with a 1:54.612. |

Blair Morgan seems to keep getting faster every weekend. The Canadian motocross legend was second quickest in MX1 with a 1:53.731. |

KTM's Mason Phillips really wants to win a round before the season is over. He was 3rd quickest in MX2 with a 1:56.540. |

Tyler Medaglia comes into Edmonton hanging onto a 1 point lead in the MX1 Championship. Medaglia was third quickest in MX1 with a 1:54.325. |

Leading Edge Kawasaki's Teddy Maier was 5th quickest in MX2 practice with a 1:56.933. |

Alberta's own George DeGraaf Jr. made the drive up from Lethbridge to compete in his second national of the season. DeGraaf proved he's better suited to the big bike as he logged the 12th quickest lap time in MX1 with a 1:58.748. |

It's safe to say there's a good chance that Colton Facciotti will leave here this weekend with the points lead. The Blackfoot Yamaha rider was quickest in MX1 with a 1:52.738. |

Alberta rider, Parker Allison, got the nod to run the helmet cam today in practice. |

After being sick the last two rounds, Jimmy Nelson is looking to finally have a healthy race and get back in the battle with the front runners. Nelson logged the 6th quickest lap time with a 1:55.472. |
